Hi internet!
Welcome to my blog! I am a young photographer and videographer. I do all sorts of photography and video and on this blog, you can follow my projects, see bts and reed random stories about the life.


So I started out doing short films years ago. I think I was about 9-10 years old when I picked up my dads little Sony Cybershot and did videos with a friend and my little brother. I was staring, doing the camera work and editing. We got most of our ideas from GTA and movies.

A couple of years later, I started as a junior reporter at my dads firm. It was just a way for my dad to keep me busy, but it was a lot of fun. After a couple of months, we went to the NAMM show in LA with a couple of his co-workers. I started getting in to doing photography on that trip with a old Canon 20D.

When I got home, the reporting stopped and I didn't hold a camera for a couple of months, but then one morning a friend of mine called me. He had started plane spotting and wanted me to join. So I started doing that for a couple of years on compact cameras and whatever I could borrow. I got my first DSLR when I was 14 and started doing many types of photography, whatever I could do, I did.

I got a couple of jobs for magazines and firms and that started to pay off. But now I am back in school, on the grind, studying technology and design.

A typical shoot set up

When I go shooting, I have different setups for different types of situation. I have tested out what I need for most everyday situations.  For an example, tonight I was shooting a little video. I had to shoot a train getting in to the station. It was dark and I knew I did not have any way to set up lights. Fortunately the station was lit up by ambient light.  I placed my self a couple of hundred meters (yes, I'm european, I use meters) away from the station and started setting up. My set up was a borrowed Manfrotto Grupo tripod from the 90's, my Koolertron slider, 60D, 28-105 and 50 mm lens. Here is a picture of the setup:  I apoligize for the quality of the photo, it was taken with my nokia. But anyway, I used my slider with my vanguard as a jib. NOT AN EASY MOVE! But I managed. Another type of set up I have, is a journalism set up. This set up is basic. My 60D, 28-105, Røde mic and shoulder rig. This is extremely run and gun, but it really gets the job done.

This weekends shoots

So I have one of the most busy weekends of my videographer life coming up. Today (Friday the 25th of April) I have a shoot for school with my communications and IT class. For this shoot I am working with my trusted assistant who works or no pay (Regi, you awesome) and a couple of friends and our talent is a well known danish rapper called Per Vers. Saturday (26th of April) I have a studio shoot as an runner/grip/assistant (I think) but they didn't tell me anything yet... And then on Sunday I have a shortfilm shoot. This is the biggest narative project I have EVER worked on and I am looking forward to it. For once, I am not both cinematographer, director, grip, sound, runner etc. on the set. I am the cinematographer on this project and I will be working with the Panasonic AG-AC90. So looking forward to this weekend and of course, I will have the Hero 3+ with me on my shoots through out the entire weekend. So until next time, peace out! :)

Shooting a work process

I am a student at a technical high school here in Copenhagen and we do a lot of projects. Usually we do written logs, which is a long, depressing process where we often forget to write things down, which leads to mistakes in our reports (yes, we have big crafting and production projects at a high school level, one of the awesome things here in Denmark). Anyway, I started to do a little something to help us document the process and look back after, timelapse. I have done 4-5 of these at my high school and it is awesome. The way I shoot these timelapses is a little clunky. I have my 60D (sometimes also a GoPro and t2i). The 60D goes into my computer to the EOS utility. I shoot a picture ever either 5-15- or 30th second, depending. I started up by using my 28-105, but today I wanted to change it up, so I used my fisheye.
